Good news: BQ updates are going back to EVERY tues/thurs. Also, Bear Quest 2 is finished.

Yes. You heard right. Bear Quest 2 is finished

I know you are all like, “Buh-but you are only like halfway through it!” Not true. The whole thing is done and I just sent it to the printer. The deal is this: the printed book will be available in a month (Debuting at Austin Comic-Con Nov. 11th). That is well before I finish serializing it on this site!! It’s all part of some time paradox I’m trying to create.

Bad news is: BQ2 is going on a temporary hiatus. Sorry, no Tues/Thurs updates for a while. I’m going to be focusing on some other stuff, some of which is BQ-related and I’m really excited about. So stay tuned.

Yes, The Bear will be back very soon! My plan is to release his next adventure every Tues and Thurs starting in August! I guarantee it’ll be epic as hell.

New Game Start!

I’ve got some ‘splaining to do though! I know I was all hyping this new comic that was supposed to start in May. Then May came and went and I said Nothing. But you see, The Bear took over my brain and ate all my other projects. Literally. I jumped right into BQ2 instead, putting that other comic on the back burner.

So it’s all bears all the time now. Starting in August! This time he’s stuck in a Zelda-sorta game and I am slowly driving myself insane as the art for it is just nuts. Taking it to the next level, so to speak.

Don’t fret, your desire to strangle each and every one of these guys is very much intended. A fun game: pick the most annoying one and let me know.

Hmm….wonder what they are for. Their ocular traits are likely a giveaway.

It’s the first sampling of Bear Versus paintings I’ve done for the Bear Quest Signed Edition. These were great fun to do. I could spend a whole year painting Bear Vs Random Stuff 8 hours a day. Who will hire me to do such a thing?

A couple got water damage (for added effect…um). Fourth image is a creature from Colin Panetta’s awesome comic Dead Man Holiday. Maude the Chiuaua will not be featured in any comics to my knowledge.

What now? Well, lots of things hopefully.

1. First up, the BQ book! It will be available in March. Cover is shown above.

2. A new online comic that will debut here in May. It won’t be BQ but I guarantee its awesomeness. I’ll be rocking the Tues/Thurs schedule too.
3. A secret Bear Quest multimedia thing.
4. Then, Bear Quest 2!! It’ll be here before you know it. I have so much insanity in store, if you only knew…
