Further concepts from the “slightly too cheesy” take on Torture Squid villains. Obvious next step follows, a fungus creature done up “Monstrous Manual” style. Stats (not) forthcoming.

Write the name of the form/move, and explain it if you feel it needs it. I’ll be perusing the suggestions, and, if yours is awesome enough, I will use it in the final showdown. That’s right, you have the opportunity to contribute to the ending of Bear Quest.
And if I do use your suggestion, not only will you get to see it rendered in full Bear Mauling Glory, I will also send you a free Bear Quest poster! So make sure you put down your email address so I can contact you if you win.
Go out and tell everyone, The Bear needs help delivering the most epic kill of all time!
A really cool review of Bear Quest went up at Ain’t it Cool News a couple days back. Much thanks to Ambush Bug who had great things like this to say:
“BEAR QUEST is as creative as it is fun…The way creator Zach Taylor understands both the comics and video game media is exceptional.”

Was looking through some old files, and found the fan art I did for Jeff Vandermeer’s City of Saints & Madmen. It’s a King Squid, I think maybe the first squid I ever drew. I still rather like it, sort of a forerunner to working on The Torture Squid.
Mark your calendars, Bear Quest is starting up May 5th! Yes, twice a week, every Tuesday and Thursday, the vicious mauling and video game action will commence right here on this site.
